Projects

At Maracena Erasmus, we create opportunities for young people to grow, connect, and explore through Erasmus+ projects. From youth exchanges and training courses to volunteering programs and international partnerships, we offer life-changing experiences that promote learning, cultural exchange, and inclusion. Our projects focus on non-formal education, sustainability, and creativity, empowering young people to develop new skills and build a more open and connected world.

DemoCrazy

We took part in the DemoCrazy training course, in Recoaro Terme, Italy. For one week, young people from across Europe joined workshops on active citizenship, democratic participation, and human rights. Alongside gaining educational tools and a deeper understanding of the Erasmus+ program, they also enjoyed the beautiful nature and local culture.

No Drama

We took part in the training course “No Drama in Croatia” in the heart of CroatiaFor a week, four young participants joined an Erasmus+ experience focused on the power of healthy communication and the importance of building positive group dynamics. They worked in an international environment with peers from across Europe, learning through non-formal education methods. They explored trust, empathy, and active listening as the foundations for creating inclusive, human-centered teams. They shared personal reflections, strengthened group bonds, and stepped out of their comfort zones, all without drama, but with plenty of transformation.

Once Upon A Time in Europe

We took part in the youth exchange “Once Upon a Time in Europe” in Szeged, HungaryFrom July 14th to 22nd, ten students from 3rd year of ESO in Maracena joined this Erasmus+ project, alongside 40 other young people from Hungary, Italy, and Ireland.

For many, it was their first time abroad, living and learning together with peers from across Europe. Through theatre and storytelling workshops, they explored different European cultures and expressed themselves creatively. They practiced English every day, gaining confidence in communicating with others in a foreign language. They discovered Hungary’s history, culture, and stunning landscapes.

The project was not only a fun and enriching way to spend the summer, for many, it was a life-changing experience that sparked a new curiosity for travel, languages, and international friendships.

Don't miss our Circus of Culture!

From the 4th to the 10th of March, a mix of 20 circus artists and curious youngsters gathered in Maracena to learn, practise and excel the art of circus and performance.

Our Espacio Joven transformed to a colourful tent in which we learned acrobatics, juggling, clowning, making bubbles and fire manipulation. After four very intense rehearsing days, we put our costumes on and took over in the streets of Maracena in the annual carnival Celebration. We had the chance to share all this knowledge and tools we got with kids through workshops and finally end this amazing week on stage, presenting what we received all those days.

ESC : A Journey At Any Age

Two of our volunteers from the ESC project "Open to Learn" in Maracena, Granada, share their experiences. They talk about their journey—from being newcomers to becoming an integral part of the community—and reflect on how a ten-year age difference has shaped their perspectives and experiences.
